Breaking from the norm. A top competitor builds an exemplary system Arguably, multimedia systems have continued to be one of the hottest trends in the mobile electronics industry. However, we chose a much different path when building this demo / competition vehicle, a 1997 Mitsubishi Eclipse. Over a course of one and a half month, we created a truly remarkable competition audio system to compete. Thats right, an audio system - no video sources or monitors anywhere. To route EFX power / speaker cables and interconnects throughout the vehicle. The factory battery was replaced with one Optima Yellow Top mounted in custom acrylic glass under the hood. All power cables were run in the factory frame rails; the RCA's, down the center of the vehicle along the center console; and the speaker cables down through Logic Fibertech Dashboard Panel which house the Focal component speakers and subwoofers. These speakers are then powered by floating Sinfoni amplifiers located behind the seats
